Does Our Government Have Any Standards?

According to the "polls" about 50% of the people in this country are in favor of the government being responsible for their healthcare. Really? If they handle healthcare the way they do other things, you better hope you don't get sick. For example:

Your Pentagon has in it's employ a "propaganda contractor" which has received more than $120 million since 2009 and is in line for $60 million more this year. There is a small problem with Leonie Industries however. They are under criminal investigation by the Inspector General of the Military yet the same military leaders have requested they be retained through the next year. Since it is an on-going investigation, we probably will not be able to identify the specific crime being investigated.

We do know Camille Chidiac owns 51% of the company and is still receiving payments from the company even though he was suspended from receiving government contracts for admitting he led a misinformation campaign against two USA Today journalists who wrote about the company. Oh yeah, Chidiac pledged to sell his stake in the company so it could continue to do business with the government. Oh by the way, in February, USA Today revealed the owners of this company owed more than $4 million in back taxes which now apparently has been settled. Makes you wonder what it takes to actually get fired by your government.
